Flying to Bryn Shander

S02E09

In the latest chapter of our journey, revelations about the Storm Giants unfold. Their once-mighty power has waned, and they now reside in the Trackless Sea, the vast ocean adjacent to the Sword Coast. This revelation prompts a change in our course, steering us north towards Bryn Shander instead of Goldenfield.

As we explore Zephyros' tower, its mysteries deepen. A large hexagonal room captures our attention, and the upper floors reveal the elegance of stained glass windows. Yrdlyn injects a moment of levity by humorously interacting with a cloud. Engaging in conversation with Zephyros, we discover his extensive time spent in the Moonshae Isles.

Ari and Glittr delve into a book gifted by Zephyros, unveiling a semi-breakthrough in 1470 DR. The Isle of Gwynneth experienced a connection with the Feywild during this time, offering a glimpse into the magical past. Zephyros shares insights into steering his castle with a navigation orb and imparts knowledge about the Moonshae Isles, located off the coast of Oman. The revelation of six giant species—storm, cloud, fire, frost, stone, and hill—adds a layer of complexity to our understanding. Zephyros introduces us to Annam, the all-father, as the overseeing god of the giants.

The plot thickens as Caulkin stealthily infiltrates a meeting between Zephyros and mysterious figures representing Umberlee, the goddess of the ocean. Their plea for aid, with the aim of returning the world to its primordial state, raises eyebrows. Witnessing the exchange of an extremely small bag, we discover that these visitors do not align with Zephyros' interests, leading to their dismissal from the castle.

However, their departure is halted by Glittr, sparking a confrontation with the Ari Snatchers. A battle ensues, presenting challenges, especially against an invisible adversary. Yet, through strategic efforts, we emerge victorious, fending off the Ari Snatchers and navigating the complexities of our evolving quest.
