They’re Replacing Bibles in Bedtime Tables With Limited Edition Blue-Ray Copies of Gone Girl
S03E13
Retcon: Brylwynn and Pearl talk about the Prince of Frost. They share some kind words. Valyun gives us fruit for breakfast and he slides Caulkin an extra piece of fruit. It is a beautiful and thoughtful piece of fruit (pomegranate).
The Druid Sythryn has been in a deep meditation for weeks
We make our way to Myrrh’s tent. We find it easily without any issue. Behind Myrrh we see 2 elven guards. THere is another person in the room.
There is a short halfling. With blue and brown hair, with silver strands throughout. She has a grouping and calming presence and she almost appears to float as she walks. She has a soft, life voice, and is purely standing in the room, observing what is happening.
We introduce ourselves and give our condolences for the #2s loss. Myrrh relays that Valyun shared with her what happened at The Grandfather Tree. Caulkin asks questions about The Grandfather Tree and what it means to their people, but she defers for now.
The Halfing introduced herself as Calla. She seems to share a common reason for being here. Vanneak is also here. Myrrh speaks further and states that this little group is here
There is something evil here and it seems to be attracting other evil to it. Calla shares that she also felt the presence of evil in the area and the forest, which is where she is from. Vanneak chimes in that he felt drawn to the area based on Lliira.
Myrrh notes that whatever is causing the evil seems to have made its home under the Starmounts. She shares that The Druid Sythryn has been meditating for a long while and they haven’t been able to awaken him.
The top of the Starmounts is a sacred placed with a sacred site for those in the past. Myrrh states that they are of Silvanus and they do not ascend. We decide to visit the top of the mountain before heading beneath towards the sense of where the evil is coming from.
Valyun helps direct us to the edge of the village so we don’t get turned around. He explains that he is glad we are trying to right whatever those siblings have done under the Grandfather Tree. As we say goodbye he reminds Caulkin that they are some of Kelemvar’s Elite Assassins. He makes eye contact for a long period of time. As the rest of the party begins to depart and walks away, Caulkin watches Valyun watch away. As Valyun walks away, he turns around, smiles at Caulkin, and turns back as he continues to walk.
We carry onward and start the see the top of the mountain. It appears as if there is a horrible storm located at the top of the mountain. On the journey Vanneak speaks with Glittr.
We speak with Calla. She is a Sorcerer. There was a war that broke out when she was young and her parents were no longer able to protect her. She was guided by the moonlight where she rested and recouped. She never saw her parents again. We get to know each other more and share stories.
Eventually we see the path split, half of which seems to go up and the other half that seems to go down into a crack. There is a light drizzle present and it seems as if there is a big sense of magic present.
On the way up, we see runes carved on the side of the rock. Glittr and Calla are able to read Celestial scripture which are the tenets of Lliira. They have been carved into the mountainside in dedication of Lliira. Calla also sees areas that say “the moon maiden.” Glittr gets the sense that this mountain is a sacred site of Lliira. In more recent time, Selenites have joined in on the area.
As we continue there are strands of red, yellow, and orange light guiding Lliira’s chosen. As we climb, the rain has become more of a downpour. As we climb the mountain our athletics and strengths are tested to the maximum.
Glittr takes a disadvantage to offer assistance to other members of the party as we continue onward. The rain is falling so hard, the area is now lightly obscured.
We see another smaller idol, dedicated to Lliira.
We continue onward, struggling as we climb the mountain. RC takes a point of exhaustion.
As we approach the top, RC hears shouting from a language he doesn’t understand. We try to be sneaky but fail horribly. We hear a new, non-human guttural shouting coming from ahead. We head up the mountain and round the corner, seeing 5 creatures that were just whooping and screaming. We then see a menagerie of creatures ahead in front of us. We see the two Erinyes feeding on the downed unicorn in front of us. There is a magical glyph under the unicorn and other flying monsters behind them. The Erinyes’ runes on their skin begin to glow blood red as they suck the life force from the unicorn. There is an icar dripping from its wounds.
“Welcome. I recognize you from the ship. Keepers of Ba’mut, Hepheastus’ line.. You are interrupting dinner. I see not all of him has made it. It appears even though you killed our beloved sister, she managed to fulfill part of her job. We will have the descendant of Hephastus if its the last thing we do. Kill. kill… kill them… sister… vengeance… for… the fallen…sister. Murderers….murderers. Murderers. Killers. Killers. Vengeance. Death. Death. Death. I know sister. I know. Our beloved wasn’t able to halt them. They have Bahamut on their side, among others. But we have Lloviatar, Zariel, and the hells on our side. This circle took much from me my beloved. Downing this creature with my own hand. I know sister. I will be the one to personally strip the flesh from their bones myself. Together, we will subdue them… but the blood of this Ki-Rin hasn’t taken effect yet. Soon, we will be Exalted. Soon, not even the divine radiance of what remains of Lliira will stop us. Then, sister… oh then… Your whip will dice their heads from their bodies and my sword will flay them until i feel the last weak and useless beat of their heart screams its last… But today, our minions will have to suffice. They will not last against hte might of the hells. Come sister. Our vengeance for our fallen is not on the wings today. She looks at all of you and you feel malice radiating off her. Whether or not she will be capable of killin gyou remains to be seen, but her goal is to truly peel the flesh of your mortal bodies, you can make no mistake of that.
The one on the right we recognize from the ship. “Even though you killed our beloved sister, she did part of her job.” “You may have defeated our sister but we will capture these pieces of Hephaestus’ line if it’s the last thing we will do.”
The other system on the left is twitching, saying “Kill, kill, kill. Murder them. Death. Death. Killers. Vengeance. Killers.” She repeats this and mutters under her breath.
“Don’t worry we have Lovitar. We have the Hells. We have Zariel on our side.” “This circle took too much of me, my love. Downing this creature was too much for me.” The blood of this “Keyrin” has not yet taken effect. After her speech, the sister on the right looks over at us with pure hatred and we know that her desire is the peel the flesh from each of our bodies.
Calla sends a message to RC and Glittr alerting them that she can tell that the downed Unicorn is still breathing.
Mid-battle and true to their word, the Erinyes fly away towards the eastern side of the map.
