And the Emmy Goes To...
S03E22
We find ourselves standing in front of Claugiyliamatar’s lair. RC states that he will bring Klauth’s head back to her. She gives us directions to find the portal to the Feywild in her domain. We decide to ask Claugiyliamatar if she has any advice to bestow upon us before we go into the Feywild, as none of us have been there. “Little one, you mistake passage from knowledge. Dragons don’t fare well in the other planes of existence. A dragon’s magic exists on the material plane and the material plane alone.” RC then asks if she has ever met the queen of the Feywild, Titania, to which Claug says no.
We begin our journey into her lair. Her lair appears to be nature-focused, but as we approach, we don’t need anything out of the ordinary. We have a feeling that she does have some control over the plant life that grows here. As we venture down, we see a fork in the road, with the path to the portal to the right and a straightaway leading further into her lair.
Glittr takes the lead as we walk forward. He looks around and notices around 40’ or so off the ground, something glinting. Whatever the glint is, it appears to be tucked away on a ledge. RC has Bahamut fly up to take a look at the object we spotted from the ground. The cave does continue forward, however, suggesting that potentially the portal is forward. He sees a small ball of light. He says, “It looks like a precious glowing stone… it’s clear almost.” We decide to leave the object alone for the time being.
We move forward into the room and see a glowing pink light reflection on the stonewalls. We enter the room, and off to the right, we see what mistaking looks like a portal. The portal itself looks like it is floating in the room, up against a wall.
We all walk through the portal. Everyone except Pearl steps through the portal. As this happens, Pearl sends Thava out to get the crystal. As Thava touches it, nothing happens to her. As Thava touches it, she feels that the object is magical. Thava grabs it and brings the crystal to Pearl. The second Thava grabs the crystal; Pearl hears the footsteps of Claug approaching. Pearl poofs Thava away, leaves the crystal behind, rips her dress, and then walks through the portal.
In the Feywild, we see before us a beautiful scene. As we do, the head of a large green dragon appears and says, “I gave you clear instructions as to what to do,” as she showers us with poison breath. We take 90 points of poison damage. “The stupidity of mortal knows no bounds. The second you return to the material plane, your bones will be in my stomach.”
We stand there shocked after getting attacked by Claug. The group replays the instructions she’s given us, trying to figure out what happened. Pearl continues to like by omission and not relay the failed crystal heist to us.
As we walk into the Feywild, we see a beautiful pool of water and mystical trees all around. There are brightly colored plants, pink birds, and other small fey woodland creatures. About 100-150’ away from us, we see a group of figures standing under a pink tree.
We discuss briefly what to do and decide to say hello to the group. The high Elvan woman says to state our business, leave, or die. We share that the queen of the Feywild summoned us to this plane. “It appears great danger followed your heels. Come, approach.” We keep our weapons holstered and approach the group more. Brylwynn takes the lead in conversing with the group. As we get close, we see the group of people ringed around something. In the middle of their circle, we see a deer lying on the ground with black spots all over its body. It looks like it has been fantasy-corrupted.
As we get near, they ask why Queen Titania called us to this realm, and Brylwynn replies that we are returning something to her.
The group looks at each other, saying how unusual it is for the queen to seek aid from mortals. “Can you provide any proof?” RC rummages through his bag for the bow, and the second the group sees it, they gasp, reciting that the bow is the queen’s most secret weapon. They ask where we retrieved the bow from. RC shares that we found it in the lair of the storm giants, the lair of Kayalithica.
The group leader says, “We are glad you have the ability and grace to return Her Majesty’s rightful artifact. You must have undergone no small feat to return it to her, as it has been missing for centuries. We are in the midst of an investigation. Please be seated for a moment, as you can see, something horrible has befallen this creature.”
After a short rest, they say they have finished their investigation and are heading back to the Seelie Court, where Queen Titania is located.
We investigate the slain deer on the ground, and we gather the Shadowfell influence is impacting the Feywild. During the walk back, RC asks the guards if they found anything from their investigation, but they withhold information until the queen deems a friend or foe.
We continue our journey forward. We see a ring of pink trees, almost creating a tree circle in a clearing. We gather the queen’s kingdom is not a palace as we’d expect, but is instead this natural formation and clearing. They recommend that RC hide the bow until we are with the queen, and it can enter her grasp directly. We journey onwards with the group, and as we do, we get funny looks from the Fey guards. Most of the people here are humanoids and pixies and sprites, but no half-lings or dwarves of note.
All of the Fey creatures we meet look like an iteration of the four guards we first met coming through the portal.
As we move forward, the grounds in front of us are almost a tree castle, acting as the grounds of a castle. Ahead, there is a smaller set of pink trees grouped together. RC and Brylwynn notice a fog that surrounds a group of trees, obscuring what is beyond them. The four guards let us know that we are at the queen’s assembly chambers. “Prepare yourselves to formally greet Her Majesty.”
Brylwynn turns to RC and asks if he is ready for this meeting. He recalls that the last time she spoke to him in his dreams, she wasn’t in the best of moods. As we enter, the guards alert her of our presence, and she welcomes us.
As we walk in through the mist, we see a beautiful table laid out before us. Once we are in the room, the mist seems too disparate. Six pink trees circle the area. Queen Titania sits upon a stable fern chaise throne. She stands menacingly at 7.5 to 8 feet tall.
She stated that she did summon us, but we took our time getting to her. She says, “Do you think you just fell out of a coconut tree?”
Looking at Pearl, she says, “Abusing my poor son’s soul for her own gain.”
Looking at Brylwynn, she says, “In such despite need of the knowledge that I can provide, but it’s not so easily given.”
“I have been informed you came here, chased by danger, inciting the wrath of Claugiyliamatar and the portal she guards. I wanted to have a stable conversation, but apparently, you are not all ready to do that.” She breathes out in the middle of the circle, calling her guards to take up arms and test our visitors in combat. “If you can survive a minute in my Feycourt, maybe we can have a conversation.”
She sits at a long table with six chairs on each of the shorter sides. In the northeast chair, we see Fey seated with a lost look on her face.

Summary

Encounter with the Portal and Crystal: We found a magical portal to the Feywild in her lair, but Pearl attempted to take a mysterious glowing crystal against Claugiyliamatar’s instructions. Upon reaching the Feywild, Claug appeared and attacked us for disobeying her warning, dealing severe poison damage.
Entering the Feywild: After surviving Claug’s attack, we entered a mystical landscape filled with fey creatures and met a group of elves. They questioned our purpose, which we explained was to return a powerful bow belonging to Queen Titania.
Journey to Queen Titania’s Court: The fey elves led us through enchanting landscapes, eventually bringing us to Titania’s forest realm. Along the way, they recommended keeping the bow hidden until presenting it directly to the queen.
Audience with Queen Titania: Queen Titania greeted us, hinting at the disappointment in our delay and questioning our intentions. She summoned her guards, initiating a combat trial in her court to test our resolve before any formal conversation could proceed.
