We Might be in Lt. Surge's Gym
S02E46
We approach the Temple of the All-Father, Annam. We walk across a stone bridge through the canyon with 100’ walls. As we approach there are giants carved into the pillars on the front landing. There hill giant lifting a rock, a frost giant yielding an axe, cloud giant flying on a cloud, two giants we don’t recognize, and a fire giant holding a cage. Comparing her horn to one of the carvings, Ari recognizes a stone giant climbing a mountain. We deduce the last giant is a storm giant, casting lighting at something. While looking to traps, RC notices a gint of yellow to the south. RC sees 7 small yellow flowers emergicing from the snow in a circle. He is unaware of what the flowers are, but when investigating them, he loses control of Bahamut for a moment.
As Bahamut stands amongst the flowers, a voice comes out from him. “You have done well to make it this far, RC. The grandmaster of flowers, the platinum dragon, bids you to continue this journey. Tiamat may be gone, but the devastation she left behind continues. You are a beacon of justice and balance he seeks for this place. As his voice, I commend you. The giant threat is not an isolated incident. Where giants go, dragons follow, and vice versa. You follow a dangerous path of right and wrong.”
Bahamut comes to and is able to speak and verbalize in draconic. As she exmains the flowers, Brylywnn notices that they disappear. RC has a feeling that the diety Bahamut himself is at play here. The “grandmaster of flowers” stands out to him as it is one of Bahamut’s monikers.
Before we enter the temple Harshnag says, “The drake speaks of the truth of it.” He has watched our group fight together and look out for each other. Solving problems. He thinks there is more afoot there than the Lord’s Alliance. He suspects there may be dragons present. Harshnag is not sure if a dragon killed Queen Neri, but it is a possibility. He joins us on the battle field.
As Ari steps forward onto the stone steps, a voice speaks in her head. It tells her to kill her cousins and acknowledges her power. The scales on her face burn hot for a moment, and then cool just as quick. We move forward and head into the temple. We see a stone entryway that turns into a mountain entry way. The ground and walls are covered in frost. As we move inward it turns from stonework to mountain work.
As we move into the cave, we hear grunting coming from ahead. We move forward and see ledges. On the ledge we see a sconce. Brylywnn and Glittr explore the ledge and find a room with a lever about 15’ off the ground. Meanwhile, back in the hallway, the group is attacked by a group of people.
We get ambushed by a large group of people but manage to fight them off. We search their bodies and on the male figure, we find an interesting looking necklace. Brylywnn recognizes the dragon as a White Dragon that we fought off. It was likely a young dragon based on its size. Ari discloses to the group her message she received before entering the cave and Caulkin rips out the baby dragon’s tooth. The scales on Ari’s face begin to glow red hot again. As this happens, the baby dragon’s body almost twitches. Ari hears in her head “Yes, excellent,” as she levels up.
We take a long rest in the room with the lever. Harshnag pulls the lever as we hear a loud THUD from somewhere in the temple.
We leave the north lever in the up position and the southern level in the down position. We leave the large room and climb a set of stairs in the middle of the room as we climb up the stairs. We are up about 20’, same with the ledges. At the top of the landing we see a large stone door with giants fighting dragons carved into it. It is coated with ice. There is a small set of bedrolls at the top of the landing, possible where the barbarians we fought off were fighting.
The necklace the group found
