Arrival at Bryn Shander

S02E11

In the towering expanse of Zephyros' mystical abode, an unexpected revelation unfolds as Caulkin notices his birthmark, shaped like a '5,' glowing with an intense heat that eventually subsides. Yrdlyn, perplexed by this occurrence, examines the birthmark without discerning its nature. A well-executed plan involving invisibility and spider climb allows Caulkin to explore the upper levels of the tower. On the third floor, he encounters griffins and a symbol on a chest, matching that on the navigation orb. Zephyros nonchalantly discloses that the griffins are his residents.

Day 23 brings a surprise—six armored dwarves and a dragon named Felgolos land outside. Brylwynn communicates with the dwarves, discovering their mission to halt the giant threat, and the dragon's sudden disappearance into the tower raises suspicions. The dwarves, led by Hewen Horn, return to Mirabar with news of their mission. The symbol on the orb is identified as belonging to sky giants, unveiling a deeper layer to the unfolding narrative.

On Day 27, the castle halts, marking our arrival at Bryn Shander. Zephyros shares alarming news—the missing Storm Giant King's daughter, Serissa, has claimed the Wyrmskull Throne. Uthor, the storm giant guards' commander, provides this intel, cautioning about the formidable cloud giant Countess Sansuri. Disembarking from the floating castle, we reach Bryn Shander and encounter Augrek, a redheaded dwarven girl. Exploring the market square, an urchin girl approaches Brylwynn, exchanging coin for fire maintenance.

At the Emporium, purchases and winter clothing preparations take place. We inform Markham Southwell, Head Sheriff, about Nightstone's incidents. A deal with Beldora, the urchin, secures future town tours in exchange for a coat. The day concludes with our arrival at the inn, marking the next phase of our journey.
